CIC Services

The CIC Scope of Services is an essential tool that facilitates fully integrated working on projects regardless of sector or procurement route. The CIC is keen that anyone who subscribes gets the most from this remarkable tool and has therefore asked Colander to set up a support service for users.

We offer expert advice that explains how the tool works and how it can be used to great effect, by the supply and the demand sides of the construction industry. Many of Colander's advisors have been actively involved in developing the CIC Services and all are experts in its use. There are two ways we help:

Introductory Workshop
A trained expert will come to your office and deliver a 1.5 hour introductory workshop. Topics covered include:
• Using the CIC Services to procure a building
• Setting up a project from start to finish
• Using the CIC Services to define fees
• Allocating tasks and ensuring that nothing is missed
• Case study examples
• Q&A session on your specific requirements

Cost of the workshop: £200 + VAT

Consultancy support
Should you require further assistance, then we are pleased also to offer a consultancy service, again with experts trained in the use of the CIC Services. This might involve:
• Hand holding, or more detailed assistance, when setting up your first project
• Procuring a design team for a specific project
• Integrating specialists into a team
• Smoothing the interface between design and delivery
• Using the CIC Services to allocate in-house resources to a project
• Using the CIC Services to calculate fees for specific projects
• Applying the CIC Services to specific circumstances

Consultancy services are charged at a standard hourly rate of £200 + VAT.
