Who is this course for?
This course is for people who need a basic primer or update on practical techniques for organising and managing time on projects. Those who want to improve their own time control techniques as well as those of their colleagues and team members; people who find themselves or their projects under time pressures and would like some solutions.

Purpose of the course
Control of time and resources are important factors in the delivery of most projects. This course will assist delegates to improve their techniques and confidence in their own project activities and those of other team participants. It will enable delegates to understand and apply a structured approach to tackling time issues on projects.

Course format
This is a half-day course. In keeping with the Colander philosophy, the session is intensely practical, using an interactive workshop style with working exercises, case studies, discussions and activities, supported by comprehensive course notes. Delegate numbers are limited in order to maintain the interactive quality of the training.

Course content
This course will investigate the need for programmes; their purpose; their sources and their applications and uses. Using case study exercises delegates will review four sequential activites of:
• Planning and listing.
• Programming and calendarising
• Monitoring of progress
• Managing time to achieve targets

Issues to be addressed include:
• The need for programmes
• Common problems with programmes
• Features of programmes

Cost
The cost per delegate is £240 + VAT: £288. However, a £50 discount is available if payment is received by 17 March 2011: £190 + VAT(at 17.5% to the end of 2009: £223.25, at 20% thereafter: £228.00)
