Networking for engineers
Who is this course for?
This course is for partners and directors of consulting engineering firms, as well as senior staff who find themselves meeting new people and needing to impress them, on behalf of their firms.
What is the purpose of the course?
The design and construction world thrives on sustainable and authentic relationships. Strong personal connections improve business opportunities and are more rewarding – both personally and professionally. Talking to strangers and engaging them in a conversation that develops into a potential professional relationship is not something that comes naturally to most engineers. For many, ‘networking’ and ‘selling’ are the two most uncomfortable aspects of marketing.
This course is designed to give participants practical tools with which to confront the fears and obstacles inherent in a networking environment and to make networking a constructive, if not fun experience – both professionally and personally.
Course format
This is a half-day course. It combines theory with practical applications, using case studies, group activities and discussions to ensure full participation and relevance to real life. A group of 10 to 12 delegates is ideal. A printed, bound set of courses notes will be given to each delegate.

Cost
The cost of this course is on a sliding scale, depending on the number of delegates:
Up to 9 delegates: £1,250 + VAT per day
10 to 12 delegates: £1,500 + VAT per day
13 to 15 delegates: £1,750 + VAT per day
16 delegates: £2,000 + VAT per day
Preparation time needed to tailor the course to your specific needs will be agreed with you in advance and charged at our standard day rates, available on request.
