Developing assertiveness

Who is this course for?
This course is of particular benefit to those who regularly encounter conflict or have difficulty ‘standing their ground’. It is also for people with wider management responsibilities, where inter-personal skills are important. Through this course we aim to build people’s self-confidence alongside respect for the opinions of others, to enable them to develop an ability to create win-win relationships.

Course format
This is a full day course for up to 9 delegates (up to 12 with two trainers). The emphasis is on interactive role-play to develop a practical understanding of assertiveness, while also providing the proven theory. A printed, bound set of courses notes will be given to each delegate. If preferred, specific aspects of assertiveness can be dealt with through tailored coaching sessions on a one-to-one basis or with small groups of people. coaching
