Who is this course for?
This course is designed for partners and directors of small to medium sized practices looking to put in place effective financial management systems to help achieve a profitable balance between creativity and business acumen.

Purpose of the course
The course will focus on financial tasks that will see a practice through to the other side of a recession, taking the guesswork out of financial management and creating financial systems to help the smooth running of the day-to-day, month-to-month financial activities, as well as forming the bedrock for future gazing and potential growth.

 

Course format
This is a half-day course. In keeping with the Colander philosophy, it is intensely practical, using an interactive workshop style and case studies, supported by comprehensive course notes.

Delegate numbers are limited in order to maintain the interactive quality of the training.

• Managing projects and understanding work in progress
• Invoicing, cash flow and getting the money in
• Dealing with the bank
• Creating budgets, forward planning
• Understanding turnover and profit
• Control of working capital

Cost
The cost per delegate is £240 + VAT: £282. However, a £50 discount is available if payment is received by

CPD
CPD certificates will be issued. For architects, this course complies with RIBA core CPD requirements for practice management.
