Who is this course for?
This course is for people who are directly responsible for recruiting new talent and retaining existing staff. They might be partners or directors, associates, senior architects, office managers or administrative support staff. It covers the ‘nuts and bolts’ of recruitment and retention and aims to help recruit and then retain the right staff.
Course format
This is a full day course. It includes statistical and anecdotal evidence and proven theory and advice, supported by group discussions and activities. Delegate numbers are limited in order to facilitate group discussions and maintain the interactive quality of the training. A printed, bound set of courses notes will be given to each delegate.
Course content
This course covers the ‘nuts and bolts’ of recruitment and retention. Topics include:
• Staff turnover
• The recruitment process
• Interviewing
• The induction process
• Performance appraisal, including feedback guidelines
• Checklist for assessing the effectiveness of your appraisal system
• Salary reviews
• Training and development considerations – training needs analyses
• Coaching and mentoring
Cost
For delegates who pay 2 weeks before the course starts: £375 + VAT: £440.63. Payment must be received by 9 September 2008. Otherwise, the cost per delegate is: £475 + VAT: £558.13
CPD
This course complies with RIBA core CPD requirements for practice management; certificates are awarded on completion.
