In-house course
Business management for architects
Who is this course for?
Few architects have any formal training in running a business, seeing themselves firstly as designers and only secondly as business managers. This course is a primer for people who are moving into a role beyond project work, where sustaining and developing the future of the practice is a part of their responsibility.
Course format
The course is run over four half-days, we recommend two weeks between sessions to minimise disruption. The course is best suited to groups of 8 to 16 delegates. Working through the widely acclaimed Colander case study, as well as using more traditional training methods, group activities and discussions, each session builds on previous sessions to develop an overall awareness and understanding of the issues that influence success or failure. A printed, bound set of courses notes will be given to each delegate.
