Uta Werner
Uta joined the Colander team in 2008, to run our courses on dealing with people within the law.
Uta is the co-founder of HR management consultancy Working Visions and has over 15 years’ experience in strategic and operational HR management.
She started her career in the corporate HR team at Volkswagen in Germany, leading national and international projects on flexible working models, lean production, work-life balance and gender issues. In 2001, she became HR Manager at the Richard Rogers Partnership where she was responsible for creating and developing the HR function, establishing a culture that enabled targeted succession and career paths to exist within a creative environment.
Today, she works with a number of architectural practices, providing strategic advice on change management and high impact HR interventions, restructuring and redundancy assistance, training and development programmes, appraisal systems and competency based recruitment programmes.
Uta regularly publishes articles on people management in the trade press and speaks at practice management conferences; she also lectures at Nottingham University. She is a member of the RIBA Practice Committee.He is a Project Manager with Buro Four and has extensive and varied experience of working in the UK and abroad with major contractors and designers, also working directly with both developers and owner occupier clients.
